VERSE OF THE DAY

“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.”

Picture a child who, afraid in the dark, holds her father's hand and tells him everything that troubles her, even without understanding it all. Something similar happens when you bring to the Lord, with thankfulness, whatever weighs on your mind before sleep arrives. The peace He gives does not need an explanation to guard your heart.

Something to think about: What worry are you still carrying alone that you could hand over to God today, with a thank you alongside it?
